Holy ****ing ****, how long has it been since I've had to drive a car and of course it's the day that the weather decides to take a giant frozen dump all over the city. Back and forth from the shop to the Ex all day long. My god, it took us an hour and a half to get from Cycle Therapy to the bike show at one point.

Argh.

PS. I'll have a few passes if anyone still needs one.

Are these passes day-specific? I want to go sunday.

Oh not all that long. About 7 months but it's more like 6ish if you subtract the time I was off with my knee troubles.

I_bRAD 03-01-07 08:33 PM

Nobody mentioned heiroglyphics? Particularly Del and Casual.

Watch the news. In three weeks he's going to sue me for pissing on him. D-bag

cavit8 03-01-07 11:09 PM

Wait until he catches fire, then you'll be a hero.

On another note, nice bit of rain we're having should make it a joy tomorrow if it stays cold. Be careful out there folks. And to all you people with a life, enjoy the bike show.

pyze-guy 03-01-07 11:53 PM

Think I may have to walk to work tomorrow. Ugh. I drive a car for the first time in 2 months and it had to be tonight just as the rain started. Fun drive.

Kaibot 03-02-07 12:45 AM

Here's a torrent I made of two Nicolay albums (for dem people talking about hipitty hop).

Download if you would like.

Heah

Offhoff 03-02-07 12:49 AM

For all those who would know these things better then I, is the pulstar hub on craigslist any good? Could it be used for a singlespeed wheel?

pyze-guy 03-02-07 01:56 AM

Well as of now going to London is out for me. Borrowed my mothers car and parked in my driveway. Too bad a rather large branch covered in ice broke off a tree and crushed the windshield. Looks like someone took a bat to it. Its ruined. And dented the hood and right front panel. Wonderful. Her insurance company already loves me as a deer ran into the car (it hit me, there is a difference it seems for insurance reasons) 3 years ago when I was driving and destroyed the front. So unless I can get the glass replaced tomorrow I'm out unless there is room in another car. Hopefully the insurance people will let me fix the glass at Apple or CT and not jack up the insurance rates. We shall see. Thanks Ontario for that 'no fault' insurance we seem to have.

This sucks goat ass.

Edit: ****! ****! ****! ****!,

and

****! again.

zippered 03-02-07 07:02 AM

well, pyze-guy, when sadness fills your days... it's time to look away...

I_bRAD 03-02-07 07:36 AM

****ty deal pyze guy. The glass can usually go under comprehensive and I don't think it will affect the rates. Lots of places pay the deductible for you these days too. It's an easy job to replace the glass- assuming there isn't a line from the storm you should be able to get it in time to go! Good luck!

iherald 03-02-07 08:21 AM

Keith,

You're open today? I need to come by and pick up the bike show pass, but I don't really want to leave my office if you're not open. I guess I could call.... no, I'll just give you a shout out here! :)

There was a tractor trailer stuck on the hill up Yonge to St. Clair so there were no cars up there for a while! I ended up taking the subway back down because I wanted to get home before 8 (I still had to go back to base first). What a day.

I totally lost it on some guy today too on Yonge. I was riding in front of him in total gridlock so no one was going anywhere fast and he just started honking at me. I had been in a really good mood but by this time it was beginning to deteriorate and this guy seemed like a ******bag. I turned around and said "was that directed at me?? Was that directed at me??!! Because YOU can kiss my ass!" Strangely he apologized. I don't condone this kind of behaviour at all but we all lose it sometimes I guess. It was kind of funny I suppose. I'm just glad he didn't I don't know kill me or something.

Feel free to condone telling someone to kiss your ass. Considering the talk of smashing windows a cursory insult doesnt seem like too much of a big deal.

Yes. I never liked straight pull spokes though. I am not sure how easily you could get some, especially if you are building a road wheel. Mtn wheel spokes could be found...road wheel might be more difficult

I am here. The ride in this morning was much easier than the ride home last night. Of course some ******bag in a TTC supervisors car had to make my ride by constantly passing with an inch to spare...then swerving over into the curb lane. This manoever was apparently for my benefit as I am a bad commuter for riding my bike and not packing onto the streetcar with the rest of the sardines. I did feel bad for him when I plowed along the side of his company car (completely accidental like shurely!) and carved a 4 ft long gash down to the metal. I apologised profusely as I could not help but run into him when he cut me off. The pattern left by my fixed rotating pedal looked eerily like an old spirograph. I feel terrible for him.
4 consecutive posts by me.......YAY!

Oh Keith I hope you're ok after that harrowing ordeal....It must have been endlessly satisfying...I mean terrifying having to deal with that car in such a fashion....yes he was probably miffed you weren't shelling out the 2.75 for the privilege of riding the streecar, as the operator(not you Rob) shows his display of overcrowding powers. Bad, selfish cyclist.....fall on your sword.
