Word.

I guess the only question is whether Keith prefers Colt 45 or Schlitz :)

Also there has been some talk of re-starting up the Fixed Unwin St. sprints this summer. We used to do a weekly thing down there with incremented 300m marks painted on the road. Usually a 2 up sprint, starting at 300m....first 100 are pace to get clipped/strapped in....after that anyone can sprint out whenever the mood strikes. We used to get about 12-15 regulars out with a couple of cold ones on the sideline thrown in for good measure. We had a pretty good flag and radio system for safety and it was always a good time. Anyone here like to participate?

Keith, you're to damn fast off the mark. I just mentioned this to him yesterday. The dual pedals are still in my garage but I was planning to be at Cavern on Saturday to go over all of them, to rebuild, clean up or toss out. There may be some singles (right or left) although most are paired sets complete with cages and straps in various conditions.

For the FG sprints, I used to coordinate this with radio, stop watch and flag. If enough are interested I'll go to Unwin and repaint the 100m marks on the road so you all can see the track. It usually starts at the small bridge and runs west with 100m to 500m marks set down. The sprint distance is 200m.

ok guys fixed gear gallery. eoin murphy here.. you are correct it is an urbane frame but i wasnt aware of it at the time and i was going to the trouble of painting it so why not. it is serving me well so far, is it a crap frame? im new here we dont have urbanite frames at home whats the deal with them.

and if you shout guinness at me ill shout eh! back at you

when do you race? im in yes please

thank you cam for the invite.

jet sanchEz 03-29-07 12:52 PM

I don't think it is crap I just think that when I last talked to Jan, he wanted a lot for it. I look like a sucker though, so he may have quoted me a price that he thought I would pay. It was blue when I saw it, you did a nice job painting it, are the drops spaced out or are they 120? Oh, and welcome to the largest thread on BF :)

I wanted the "before'' shot too, but it was taken at a different hospital and they didnt have it.

I'll guess old because there's no soft tissue swelling.

But since we're sharing:

Oh, and I_Brad, I saw you and Tam out in the east end today! I would have waved, but I'm ashamed to say I was in a car (out to the 'shwa to pick up my new wheelset).

Were you the guy that squealed past us then raised his fist through the sunroof? :p

cavit8 03-29-07 01:41 PM

errmmmm.... maybe.... was the finger raised?

No, I was headed North on Leslie and you guys were just crossing Eastern. You were both looking pretty dour, so you may have already had your run in.
