Yeah, it's free to all right now. I think we're going to implement some sort of paid membership (something ridiculous like $25 a year) for non students in a couple months.

Feel free to drop by anytime. We're all pretty chill down there.

P.S I'm down for lunch tomorrow somnambulant, swing by bikechain anytime after noon.

My school has an auto shop. $5 for labour and parts are cost I believe. All work is supervised and work is done after full instruction by the shop teacher. They do good work. The $5 labour the total cost btw regardless of how long or how many things are done. And if it is a job for a staff member (or friend) it gets bumped to the front of the line. That being said it does takes longer than a shop.

And on that note if anyone wants a frame painted let me know. I'm taking in 2 frames to get painted in the auto shop at school in a few weeks and should be able to get others done as well. I'm not sure of colours, cost would be nothing I think. Once I know more I'll share the full details, but in the meantime let me know if anyone is interested so I can ask about colours, etc.

What kind of paint will be used? Just a spray of some automotive paint i'm guessing?

From what I was told by the shop guys is they can do any colour the person wants, and they use the booth to spray it as they would a body part of a car. Clear coats should be no problem either. I'm hoping for metallic hubba bubba pink myself.

No, I missed that bad boy on ebay. I have a La Pavoni Europiccola which is in need of a gasket at the moment. Damn you Faema. gods, I have no idea how those fools stay in business.... Anyone know of any place that sells food safe gasket paper?

And I know what you mean. I picked up my new Xero's today and I keep going out and spinning them. Oh, and Shapelike, since you asked front=806g rear=1104g

Offhoff 03-29-07 10:03 PM

Pyze what would turn around time be?

Wow 4.2 lbs.

Good combination. Flexy and heavy.

Not sure. Most likely 3-4 days. I'll talk to the auto shop guys Monday and post all the details after I know. Just thought I would give a heads up if anyone was interested. Might be able to do a group thing where several bikes are taken in to be painted over several days with different colours.

operator 03-30-07 02:44 AM

Could anyone stopping by bikechain just throw a wrench at my head please :/

Edit: Who's going to Critical Mass.
