Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

ST-5600 levers rubbing

I have a set of ST-5600 and lever B (See diagram) is rubbing on lever A as it returns to it's resting position causing it get stuck and not return all the way. I have done some searching and haven't found anything yet. Anyone had this issue? How did you fix it? Thank you in advance.

I still use 5600s from 2009 and they still work great - have not experienced this. Can you post pictures of them in resting position and a picture of it when they rub together? Also maybe a few drops of oil might solve it - never know. Also - have you crashed the bike onto them ever?

I can take some pics when I get home tonight. I haven't crashed the bike. I just had winter maintenance done 15 miles ago.

I'm also on 5600's from 2009 and they have been bulletproof. I condemplated upgrading a few times, but have no reason to. It sounds as if there is some wear (perhaps a bushing seperating that is worn?) or maybe your B lever (smaller) is slightly bent?
