Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The reason for choosing the pink over non-branded was to go after even further savings so powder of pro is officially out. It's basically rattle can, tough guys wear pink, or screw the $91 the Denfu is better anyway.

Bikes: 1990 Romic Reynolds 531 custom build, Merlin Works CR Ti custom build, super light Workswell 066 custom build

Hongfu quoted me $732 all in (including shipping and Pay Pal premium) on their lightest frameset just last week for shipping to the USA. Was able to get it down $20 to $712. Can't be much different than the Planet X in quality or actual manufacturer, but quite a bit lighter.

I agree, Dengfu quoted me at a total of $600 for tt frame, fork, and headset. Planet X pink is a total of $507 after shipping. There are advantages to both bikes. Dengfu is lighter, probably stiffer, and a blank slate for creativity. Planet X is cheaper, with external cables for easier/cheaper maintenance. But I'm not crazy about the loud pink, although it does offer a tactical advantage in T1.

Original plan was the Dengfu, I'm feeling like at <$100 savings might not be worth the effort. It'll be at least a month before I can buy anything so maybe the price will drop.

Don't know how light Dengfu frames are, but what about this for $587

What about making an offer on this Orbea? $599 OBO. Offer $500 for it, all he can say is no.

Sorry if I missed where you posted your frame size. These are both 54.
