I have a Bell Ghisallho. I'm pretty sure that Bell makes Giro helmets and there is something different about the fitting of each. I want to say that Giro fits the more "rounder" heads while Bell fits those odd shaped heads like mine. Does this sound right?

Got a Giro too. A Monza. Does me just fine. Not an Atmos I know, but looks good in black and carbon and matches my bike!

Does anyone have any experience with Louis Garneau? I found this helmet on performance bike, and I was thinking of getting it. Seems to be a fair price....

I would hesistate to buy helmets online, since you can't try them on. That is unless you used your LBS to demo one. In that case you're scum.

Currently using a Giro Encinal, carbon color that I picked up when I was riding mtb. Since I've been riding road, I've wanted a Giro Monza, maybe the Bell Ghisallo. But after reading other's posts, it seems a lot out there just take the visor off. If I could do it over again, I'd have just gotten one of them in the first place. Having a hard time justifying a second helmet purchase.

Bell Phi in Red
I have a Bell Sweep R in Black on order but it isn't here yet.
Also, a no-name mountain bike helmet with visor and an old mushroom head POS.

What's with everyone removing the visor for the road?
I have an older Giro that I use for both road and mountain and I always leave the visor on. It works great for blocking out the setting sun, which reduces glare and allows me to see where I'm going. I'm going to upgrade soon and will probably get another helmet with a visor and use it.

I always wear some type of glasses so sun glare isn't an issue for me. I also found visors to be more likely to block my view on a road bike.

I got a cheap $15 Bell Radar helmet from Kmart. Doesn't look as cool as the more expensive helmets, but the cushion/foam is thicker and has fewer big holes where rocks or other sharp objects can get through and poke my head out should I fall over them... It also fits my head quite well.

Giro Transit II
Battle tested. Went right over the bike and cracked it but nothing happened to my head. So I replaced it with an identical one.
