Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I have no desire to plaster myself with brand names. Most of my clothing is running/athletic clothes not specifically cycling, and, well, just normal looking. Sometimes I wear some of the many shirts I've got for entering races (they do have the sponsors on the back of course), since they work fine, were free with the race entry and I am frugal. But I'd never go out and buy a shirt with logos and stuff all over it.

I will have a warm fuzzy feeling inside this morning just knowing how much my jersey bothers the 41 brain trust.

I only ride with my disc brake sponsor's logo but they pay me 1% over the last year for every disc brake kit sold.

Is this just "one of those things" or am I sharing this experience with many others here?
I stopped in my mid-40's as well so maybe there is a trend to that. I stopped wanting to attract any attention and wanted more to blend into the crowd, so-to-speak. I also like more comfortable clothing so I don't wear fitted jerseys either. Maybe it's more to do with my spare tire than my age...

I'll wear pro team kit (Cervelo test team ftw!) I won't wear fluoro yellow kit, or orange reflective vests like I see on cyclists sometimes. Not trying to look like a road construction worker.
