Can you identify this bike?
I've been looking to buy Cannondale road bike online, and I haven't been able to figure out what model it is. It's a 1987 Cannondale 10-speed. I've perused the Cannondale vintage bike catalog, but I haven't had too much luck, as I'm not sure of most of its components.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I can't tell you much but I can assure you it is not a '10 speed.' More than likely it has a 6 speed rear freewheel or possibly a cassette. Components are likely 105 level. I have had a few Cannondales of that vintage and frame style in my hands and that's what I've seen.
Examining the catalog closer does show a range of component levels so perhaps you have one of the less common variants. Regardless it's a good bike if you can get it for the right price.

What else are you looking for? A fair asking price? An original components list? It's ~25 years old (the 3.0 was introduced in '89, not '87, right?) so who knows what's still attached until you can get a hands-on with it?

Nick, just a comment that I hope will be helpful to you. The Cannondales of that era were known for their bone-jarring rides. If that matters to you, you might want to rethink your plan.

Yup. Probably called "600" at the time.
I have the same frame. Raced it for a few years.

I bought a red one of those as a frameset way back in 1989 or 90. Beefier downtube and (I think) steeper angles than the regular road frame. I loved it, but it was a little rough on the longer rides. Ended up selling it to a guy in PA when I got my Trek 5500.
I often wish I'd kept that 'Dale.
