Exercise withdrawal.
Anyone ever experience this? I normally ride 5 or 6 days a week and recently took a week off the bike due to my schedule, weather, and a cold. Even though I was getting extra sleep every day I felt sluggish the whole week and had a lot of headaches. Finally made it out again this morning and I feel a lot better despite the cold.

I tend to get really crabby if I don't ride for a week...but honestly, the last time I didn't ride for a week was when I was sick, and I was pretty sick so I guess I didn't care too much.
Sometimes, even during the summer, I will break out the trainer and set the bike on it so I get at least some riding in even if it is riding in the house.

I think our bodies appreciate the regular release of endorphins, and when it doesn't get it it's self centered and smart enough to protest. Smart people listen so get out and ride! For me, I'm dreading the winter, even in SoCal, because that's when my body wants to impose hibernation and I have a much harder time getting on the bike. I am determined to overcome that this winter.

You'll get over it, and soon you will be a happy couch potato like most of this country.
Ever notice you never see pictures or statues of the Buddha jogging..?
