Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Actually, the market loves people like you who buy cheap stuff since that's where the market often makes it's greatest profit. It's like going to a restaurant and ordering the cheapest bottle of wine. Most of the time it's marked up the most. To compound matters for you, but much to the market's delight, you often have to go back to well to resupply because that cheap stuff you bought doesn't last as long, unless, that is, your, uh, "thriftiness," prevents you from accepting the fact that the rest of us can see, as another poster referenced, your crack, which, of course, is not a good thing for anyone involved.

Most folks, once they try bibs, are no longer interested in "NOT BIBS." As consequence, there are probably lots of shorts sitting around in drawers. If you want really cheap, post your size.

I also learned that quality of fit, and to a certain extent quality of design and materials, have little or nothing to do with the number on the price tag, but have everything to do with how a particular article of clothing wears.

So is this thread now about wearing underwear with cycling shorts?

OP: I have some well-used drawers I am willing to part with for free. Just pay shipping & handling.

A lot of assumptions here, and pretty much all of them are wrong. But keep trying..

Seriously, was there something you didn't like about the LG Pro Feel shorts at Nashbar? They have all sizes and 20% off one item. I have a couple of pairs of the bibs. The inseam is a little shorter than I prefer but otherwise they are fine.

Yes, and I stated so. Many reviewers mentioned the thickness of the pad as a downfall. The shorts might be really good, but so far I'm skeptical of the chamois that's used.

Sorry, I only wear NOT SHORTS.

The problem with NOT SHORTS from AeroTech or Performance is that you get 2 seasons, max, out of them. Which is OK because they're cheap to replace.

If you're really lucky, like I was, you'll get a pair of Performance Ultras that were actually made by Primal.

But be advised, they were NOT SHORTS.

You keep telling yourself that if it makers you feel better. And keep tuning to BF to solve all the simple issues in your life you can't solve on your own. Me? I will keep buying quality NOT NOT BIBS at moderate prices that perform well and last for a long time.

My experience as well. Probably one of the thinner, less obtrusive chamois I have.

Sittin' here, eatin' my heart out waitin'
Waitin' for Performance to call
Dialed about a thousand bike shops lately
Almost rang the phone off the wall

Lookin' for some NOT BIBS, baby this evenin'
I need some NOT BIBS, baby tonight
I want some NOT BIBS, baby this evenin'
Gotta have some NOT BIBS
Gotta have some shorts tonight

I need NOT BIBS
I want some NOT BIBS
I need NOT BIBS

Lookin' for a rider who needs another
Don't want another ride on my own
Wanna share my ride with a warm blooded lover
Wanna bring his black shorts back home

Gotta have some a hot ride baby, this evenin'
I need some NOT BIBS baby tonight
I want some NOT BIBS baby this evenin'
Gotta do some ridin’'
Got to do a ride tonight...

No really, they aren't thick. I thought I was screwed for comfort when they came in because of how thin they are, but they're surprisingly comfy. If you don't like them, you're out nothing. Nashbar has a no questions asked forever warranty and will take them right back.

I also only wear NOT SHORTS. But when I used to wear NOT BIBS, I used to like the PI NOT BIBS, with the ultrasensor chamoi pad.

Not exactly. One must pay a fee to return items. At least I did, and recently. But I'm glad that some of you are giving thumbs for the ProFeel. I am encouraged, and may order them before long. And they're NOT BIBS..

Everyone involved in this thread gets a round of applause.

NOT BIBS and any variation thereof should enter the BF hall of fame along with guads, drope the hamer, dial it up to 400 watts, SLAMDANCING, ect.

That's easy. Get a pair of Rapha not NOT BIBS in xs, cut off the shoulder thingies that makes them not NOT BIBS, and then wear them on your next ride. Problem solved.

https://www.amazon.com/Pearl-Izumi-Wo...cycling+shorts

Over $100 NOT BIBS that have some very poor ratings. They're women's cycling NOT BIBS so that should help in the not fitting department even more if you are a guy.

^ some of the 'similar' items that showed up along with that item might merit some consideration by the OP. Like these:
