They had one at the shop back in MD for awhile. Pretty bike.

Nice. But it's no Fuji.

Maybe it's to make shouldering the bike more comfortable on fun-ups.

I did a rule #9 ride today in dallas. I had to go so slow in the weather I barely got above resting heart rate the whole way. I think I managed 10mph average... although some of those miles were 3-4" underwater.

Yes, it is difficult to breath hard through a snorkel.

...almost there. :)

Looking good, 3A.

I've had the Kent tandem roadified in the captain's seat for a while now, but haven't got many miles on it yet. Put some Ultegra 6500 shifters on the bars and ran brake cables before I got to the shift cables when I finally realized those are for double cranks only :( So I plugged a Dura Ace barend into the left side of the bar and had that do shifting. Thinking I might need a 17° stem in there, cuz I'm too olde for the kinda drop I get from that +8 action.

Nothing looks better than a 48mm of valve stem sticking outta 12mm rims!

LoP and went on the Drink This! walking tour of downtown Vancouver. Here's a pic of him before we started:
http://i1287.photobucket.com/albums/...pstge65tcc.jpg

At our last stop of the evening, he actually had an opportunity to upgrade to a younger blonder model of girlfriend. He put our beverages on his debit card and, when he signed for them, our server said "Oh, is your name 'Lester'?" He said "Yes" and she said "It's not very common. My dad's name is Lester and he thinks it's embarrassing but I like the name." Ho ho ho. And, fittingly, he had on some very colorful Argyle socks and this pattern- going by what I've heard regarding previous Addiction posts- has proven itself exceptionally favored by female waitstaff of his acquaintance. ;)

I sure ain't going to knock it. The extra long stem on a wheel equipped with a SON dynohub advertised on eBay led to the recovery of Machka's beloved Marinoni Ciclo three years after it was stolen. Only one wheel with a long stem and dynohub could possibly have existed in Australia, and sure enough, it belonged to the Marinoni.

And props on the tandem. It's looking good after the roadi-fi-cation.

BillyD 10-25-15 06:22 AM

Noice!

Still raining. Will be all day and night today and into tomorrow. No issues at my house, and I haven't had a call from my daughter who lives in one of the lowest parts of the flood zone in the city. I think all is well there. Some "bayous" are out of their banks running through town and rivers may be rising and endangering outlying areas. Haven't heard yet.

Nice bike. The front brake release lever is open?

Was someone selling the parts? Did you have to get the police involved? Wondering about proof of ownership, was there anything hidden on the bike for owner ID?

Otherwise, it would have come home today.) I'm beginning to wonder if I'm having a mid-life crisis. Or rather a quarter-life crisis a quarter later than I should have had it which is to say when I was 25ish. In any case, in the last week and a half I have gotten my nose pierced, eaten a magic cookie, seen my first horror movie in a theater as opposed to on a TV or monitor, and bought an acoustic guitar. There is a socially responsible job within easy bike commuting distance of the apartment but, since I've gotten used to working full-time, putting money in savings, and having dental insurance, I'm not quitting the Big Box job I'm in. Also, no plans to leave LoP. But wow. What's next?

I think it would be only proper to get a tattoo at this point in the game.

Barely! Actually, it turned out to be an absolutely gorgeous day. Today should be similar.

Yeah, I pulled cable with it open, maybe I'll fix it next rainy day.

I don't really care much about segments on Strava, but I do use it for my runs and I am pretty sure most of the run KOMs are owned by people who rode their bike.
