Matt Schaub is really bad. Dangerous to his receivers.

Sort of. He's more talking about the TT version. More like I go in with a very specific gameplan which I don't abandon in favor of a more ambitious plan if I'm having an unexpectedly strong ride.

So... How about you? Are you back at it come Spring?

I have most of the parts to do the MTB deal, but I'd still have to buy tires, cables, and still have to get a rim for the dyno hub.

I missed that story. Care to tell it again, or point me to the post?

...also, you can set some sort of CL alert thing to tell you when Stumpjumper comes up over the winter. (I think)

So...

You really don't know.

Will I be allowed to hang out in the Road Cycling forum anymore once I have taken ownership of my new bike with a decidedly non-asphalt bent or will I be banned to the recreational cyclocross and gravel grinding board?

Yeah, pretty much. Going to be a weird early season though. Doing a 2 week training camp / cycling vacation in Majorca in March. Not really prime timing for race season here, but will be good fun with friends from back east.

Lull, I wish ;) West Nile Virus is still in full swing as well as the little flying syringes. Should calm down soon as the cool fronts are beginning to roll through. Got some good miles in last week and feeling good. Meetings out of town the week before, so little riding. Should be able to ride with not many distraction and good weather locally the remainder of the year. Planning on a century next week with some friends.

Good to hear you're feeling better and back in the swing of things. :thumb:

I may not have mentioned it here. Crashed myself out of a CX race last week. Noob mistake on a dirty downhill with a 90 degree turn at the bottom. Banged my knee and ankle, tweeked some leg muscles. Doesn't bother me much on the road, but cyclocross riding is problematic. Fortunately, it happened at the end of the season. Only missed out on riding a non-race-race; still went and spectated.

It appears that the $2400 is just for the one bike.

How many no-name Chinese frames could he have purchased for $2400?

You had a road bike before?

Jealous!

But I have a good one up my sleeve too. I'm going to Colorado in June. Gonna ride my bike with LAJ.

You shouldn't. But, as an addictionite I think we can expect better.
