Ok, someone please talk me out of a dropbar MTB conversion. I'm this close to driving like an hour one way for a 60 dollar specialized hardrock.

Good to see you are early. It's still, however, only the 29th "over there". So there's another day of this inanity to go. :D

Time to go home. ****

Please continue... Is the hardrock a lesser steel or something? I'm probably stripping the paint either way.
The 1997 one had a cromo seattube - Woot! Chromoly seat tube/hi-tensile steel Some may have had 3 cromo tubes. |

Try the veal. And don’t forget to tip your servers. |
Talked myself out of the bike. Less than 60 bucks can buy me a rim to rebuild my dyno wheel and outfit the crockett for the time being. When I have some more cash flow, I can experiment with the ultra-utility bike. The crockett just has to be a little bit ugly for a year or so. I have most of the parts to do the MTB deal, but I'd still have to buy tires, cables, and still have to get a rim for the dyno hub.

But does anyone outside of Cleveland care?
Very Doubtful. |
I was really sick last week. One solid week off the bike. Felt good enough to ride yesterday and then again this morning. Ave temp was 27 degrees for my morning ride but I had a good time. :) I'm down 8+ pounds in 8 weeks, only 12 to go. I've kind of hit my stride with this dieting, I've survived the Mexican vacation and Thanksgiving in Vegas (which entailed multiple buffet meals). Going to be working the TT stuff pretty hard for the next 60 days and then we will assess "what's next"? That means more time on TT bike, less volume, more intensity. Coach would like me to exhibit a greater willingness to fail. I know exactly what he's talking about. I now have not one but two disc wheels (long story). And I met the guys who designed my TT race wheels, that was pretty cool. I'm almost to one full year with current coach, still love him & the process. Thats all, y'all. :) How about you, FLvector? What's up with you in the lull of non-mosquito season? |

I can't believe it. I somehow lost 2 pounds in the past week. What person loses weight over Thanksgiving? This guy.
