It's got a lot of weird tube shapes. The top tube is pretty crazy, too.

Adrenaline 14
Fresh out of charm school, the newest Adrenaline is smoother and smarter than any other. This time we amped up the velvety goodness of the Segmented Crash Pad by adding full ground contact for a crazy nice heel-to-toe transition. Brooks DNA provides adaptable cushioning so your feet will glide through every turn. Heading upstairs, new lacing design evens out lace pressure to create a snug fit, and 3D Fit Print adds a lightweight, flexible, no-stitch fit. With fresh looks and lines, this go-to shoe is ready to fly. The creme de la creme of support, cushion, and balance is the Adrenaline GTS 14. But don’t take our word for it: Runner’s World Magazine named the Adrenaline GTS 14 "Editor’s Choice" in the Winter Shoe Guide in their December 2013 issue, saying the shoe "boasts all the trappings of a traditional stability model, but rides as smooth as ever.” The editors also praised the GTS’s cushioning, saying it "hits the sweet spot" and is "soft enough for high-mileage training but firm enough to remain stable."

Sweet. Didn't this one show up in conversation within the last week or so? I recall talk about the shouldering tube between the DT and ST. Was it you that brought it up with this purchase in mind?

Yes. That's why the original post.
I saw several at the CX race I worked over the weekend and everyone seemed happy with them.

I have a fairly neutral stride but high arches. I knew if I kept running in my Payless Shoes shoes I would eventually snap my foot in half or whatever.

The LRS she purchased her shoes from was nice enough to let her exchange them so she only spent another $27 on her shoes. Very good news!

I had to do some involuntary running. It goes without saying - it was stupid.
Since it's unseasonably warm, I decided to take the boy out on a walk/balance bike trip around one of the local lakes. Now, my boy can go from, "no, I don't have to go to the bathroom," to "IT'S AN EMERGENCY!" in about 27 seconds, so, of course, his need to pee red alert kicked in when we were absolutely as far away from a restroom/portapotty as you can be on Lake Calhoun. So I had to run... for about a mile. In jeans and flat, canvas shoes. Did I mention that running is stupid?
