Missed that reference.

Like most threads, it was amusing. It's probably on page two or three if you want to get caught up.

That's why I eat crab cakes. ;)

It was fun for a day. You could bump it for jonesey's convenience.

That said, all but one of them are too slow...

Bragger.

You mean because my club is so cool that we have 9 rides?? Or that 8 of them are slow?

Both??

The only thing about the Specialized shorts is that I haven't decided if I like the RBX Pro Chamois. So far, I've only worn them on the trainer and short rides (under 2 hours).

Because you're too fast for 8 of them.

You could always ride your "slow bike".

That's bcause you're in Minnesoda.

Fresh out of the Chesapeake Bay will make a difference, or at least it did for me.

Don't get them in MN.

(Though it must be said that I've been impressed the couple times that I've got to Smack Shack in North Loop.)

You only ninja'd me by skipping letters. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

You know I am not THAT fast. Our club is an enthusiast/recreational club. If I rode with the race club I would likely get dropped like a stone.

Haven't we discussed this before? Almost no blue crab meat consumed in the DelMarVa region is locally caught. Most of it is from the Gulf of Mexico or Asia. What the Cheaapeake brings to crab cakes is recipe and technique, not raw material with very few exceptions.

My wife and I skipped our club indoor self-flagelation ride today. She had a sick tummy and I fell hard on a knee yesterday. Got a very tender knee cap.

We've discussed it before, but you're evidently immune to reason beyond your own.

I've got big wood. It's long and straight, but I'll be cutting it down to length today and then re-sawing to width tomorrow. By hand. Heaven help me for being stupid and using mostly hand tools. Building an audio rack that'll hopefully be done by next weekend.

One of Mrs. Doug28450's health food stores makes outstanding crab cakes. Unfortunately, I do not recall the name of the store, but I am confident that it is not Whole Foods.

Indeed. I lived near the Chesapeake Bay for many years. I had many tasty crab cakes at local restaurants while living there. Now that I live in Central New York, I don't order crab cakes at the local restaurants.

So, you mean when I was in Cambridge, Maryland a few years on a tandem tour that all of the little bars and cafes that I stopped at for fresh crab had had the crab flown in from the Gulf of Mexico just so I would believe that every little dive and pub was serving local crab?

Amazing.

Those guys in pulling up to the docks with boats full of crab are just returning from the Gulf. It's a long trip, but totally worth keeping up the façade.
