with my bike computer i typically turn it on and hit start, then let the bike hang out outside while i get my shoes on and whatnot. this way it has a few mins to find a satellite. i also programmed the elevation of my house into a saved location so that after i hit start it syncs the elevation to the location and im golden

the thing thats been pissing me off lately is its constantly dropping/reconnecting to my phone. when im using live track for the mrs i have to restart it if it doesnt reconnect in like 30 seconds, and thats one of the main reasons i got the thing.

I need to start looking into winter steam schedules around here. Would be nice to see some steam in the snow this year.

...one suspects "repurposed" rather than "lost". At one time when I lived in D.C. it was a site for US Postal Service auctions. It was amazing some of the stuff that showed up, which was mostly sold in canvas bin lots by bidding. I bought a pretty nice Yamaha classical guitar that way.....and an absolutely spectacular dulcimer. I think those auctions were the reason UPS became more popular as a way to mail packages. :)

UD, I had something similar happen to me last year. Eventually, about a week late, the package showed up, but UPS still had no record for delivering it. I wasn't terribly worried though, as it was a small dollar item.
Just let them know there's a problem with the delivery.

I think "repurposed" is the operative word as well. Even if they have an idea of what it is/worth, they'll have a hard time selling it, we all know who each other is and the word is out.

UPS ought to change their process so that you don't have to plainly write the value of something on a shipping label. Speaking of acoustics, I've been debating selling my Taylor 814ce, it's a '96, I prefer a parlor sized guitar nowadays.

I never noticed the insured value on the label for UPS. Is that true? I know you don't have to have the shipping cost on the label. What about FEDEX?

Well see, one is in New York, so it's pretty good. The other is Boston, and I think everyone here knows how I feel about that.

I've had no good experiences with Boston. Unfortunately, the entire rest of my family orients towards Boston instead of NY, so I'm definitely the black sheep there.

(Pretty much all of CT orients to Boston or NY, culturally.)
