Ah! I've seen that show a few times. She's cute, but I'd bet that she's had just a bit of work done. And the dude pisses me off - he seems to **** up in every episode, but still ends up making a good return.

You guys must have expended all your discrimination on bikes, coffee, cameras, audio equipment, home workshop tools and beer, because you certainly haven't saved any to use to judge TV.

If you remembered it, how can it be completely forgettable? :)

Property Brothers, Fixer Upper, and Rehab Addict...great television right there.

Hate 'em all!

Seriously though, Modern Family is a pretty good show for family comedies on broadcast networks.
I love that show.

rpenmanparker 11-09-15 04:51 PM

Seriously, i'm just screwing with y'all. I've never seen the show. I thought saying I couldn't remember what I wanted to say because the subject show was forgettable was funny. Unfortunately I have already give up my day job.

I don't have HGTV or any of the fixer-upper channels programmed into the favorites for the remote control and my wife doesn't do well navigating the remote without my help. So that means we don't watch all those fabulous upgrades to the kitchens and bathrooms to give her crazy ideas on what we can do to our house. Yes, I'm evil.

Two sentences that set me off immediately were "My weight was also through the roof! I was 30lbs overweight!" Seriously?! WTF, man?! What kind of body dysmorphic world does this guy live in? Would I be happy if I were thirty pounds overweight or if LoP was? No, but I had gestational diabetes and have other family history so it's not just for aesthetic reasons or cuz I'd have to help pedal both of us up hills. That being said, did this poster pause for even a moment to consider how some of the Clydes and Athenas who started out riding or are now riding their bikes weighing 100 pounds more than their doctor would advise would feel reading his assessment? "Geez. If this guy's weight was through the roof at thirty pounds over, what does that make me?" What an inconsiderate jackass!

Of course, we could tell that right off by the way he pushed to the front of the pack thus forcing the better riders to reroute around his nearly lifeless form should he collapse from his attempt to power through on adrenaline instead of air. I'm just sorry he didn't throw up when he wanted to.

Let me see if I got this right? You're not real fond of this guy.

What is the best $500 bike? Is this the right place to ask bike questions?

Here we see one guy relaxing on a rock, trying to decide if it's worth it to try and steal that other guy's little fish. #kindasmall

Did you ever notice how they are always borrowing money? They always say they made this or made that but they're always broke.

These shows are portrayed to be "real life" but obviously they are partially scripted and/or dramatized to keep viewers interested.

I sometimes jokingly suggest that Christina needs to wear MORE makeup....mrs datlas is not amused by my color commentary.

this is the reason i had to quit HGTV

bonus points: my ex used to watch that teen mom **** too and there would be girls that worked at some dumb shop part time and could afford a 4 bdrm HOUSE for $500 a month and they would whine about bills.

They're totally orchestrated. The "reality" element is a farce, exists in name only. I hate 'em all, but not just because of that, mainly because they're shallow and boring. And they suck.

I like the home shows late at night, they help me fall asleep.

What I find hilarious about House Hunters is that in one house, everything is always "amazing" and they say it every time they walk into a new room. I dig the International one though, just because it's cool to see how people live in other countries and whatnot. Island Hunters is also interesting; here's a multi million dollar island with a $45 dollar shack on it.

Right now my favorite shows on tv are Fargo and Nathan For You, and I watch Walking Dead just because I like zombies, but the show is kind of dragging a bit this season.

i agree with this

i was never a big "lets go to france" guy till this show. i saw a couple looking for a house in a small quiet villiage and now going to nowheresfille france is on my bucket list

it was like an old cartoon, you open your kitchen window on the second floor and youre overlooking a 6 foot wide "street" and you could shake hands with your neighbor on the other side

very strangely though, the french take their cabinetry with them when they move, its like furniture. i dont understand that concept at all

All over Europe. You can see that influence in the cabinetry that IKEA has adapted for the USA market.

If you handcrafted it like WhyFi maybe you'd understand.

I'd love to get into wood-working but I probably need to eliminate a hobby first. Hard to let go of one though: bikes, cycling (totally different hobby than bikes), cars, photography, random new project ideas not involving wood.
