Spent all his money on the bike and couldn't afford any colors.

The GM at the shop I build at did a very similar build a couple of years back except with a blacked out Colnago frame. I think he had something like 15K of his own money into it and that was WITH industry pricing, so maybe at least 25+K retail.

Pfft. Smooth out the ride...

They prefer to call it the CG-R these days. I guess they got tired of the jokes.

owner has money for lightweight wheelset, but not enough for a pump with a presta head? are those adapaters on both valves?
How else ya gonna air up at the gas station?

Matches the crank. And black doesn't show the dirt.

That bike already has too much S stuff on it.

Go big or go home!

We are for sure. It is just that some of us have more scars than others.

Just bought a 60" Samsung UHD smart TV from Best Buy on their pre-Black Friday sale. I went with the 240 hz motion refresh rate (did I say that right or am I mixing things up) and quad core processor but eschewed the 3D and curve. Got no use for that 3D stuff. I think it looks hokey.

It will be interesting to see whether Black Friday prices are lower. I would certainly go back for a refund of the difference if that were the case.

...there's a kid in the C+V posting about how he stripped the ugly black anodizing off his Stronglight drillium chainrings because they needed to be silver. :( #sosad

I bought a TV last year for the first time in, well, ever actually. The last TV I had was an old one I dragged from home to college. Anyway, with everyone obsessing over 4K, I was able to get a really good, basic 1080P TV for really cheap. BluRay is good enough for me.

From the last time I really frequented that forum, I thought stripping the anodizing off of stuff was the pastime of C&V.

I, too, purchased a TV last year for the first time in quite awhile. It replaced an old HEAVY square screened tube TV that I bought used at a pawn shop for $50. I had to upgrade since everything now days is in widescreen format and the difference in screen resolutions made it impossible to read smaller lettering, such as in Hulu and Netflix descriptions.

According to something that I read somewhere (WSJ?), today was the best day to buy electronics and that black friday was not a good day, so you may have done well both in quality and price.

...the black anodized Stronglight chainrings are very chi chi, and not to be messed with because they are more or less unobtanium now. There's anodizing, and then there's anodizing.

What is the purpose of the curved screen. Mrs. Doug28450 and I were looking at televisions at Sam's and noticed that.

Doug28450 11-23-15 03:56 PM

If I put anodized chainrings on my bike will I be faster?

I believe it is to make it viewable from any angle, but I could be wrong.

If they're red.

Only if they're oval.

I don't think they're allowed. Too fast.
