So @rpenmanparker we once had a back and forth about bibs vs NOT bibs (shorts) and you talked about using suspenders when wearing a suit, which I also preferred. I most recently used some suspenders for my halloween costume and now I find myself wearing them whenever I can hide them under a sweater. I think suspenders need to come back. Belts suck.

My pants keep themselves up. The belt is just for looks.

So they locked the thread about locking the thread about locked threads??

Oooh, one of the TV stations is saying Rain/Snow mix on Tuesday. I hope they're a little off and we get a foot of snow!
I saw a county snowplow out today, so this might be serious!!! |

Our favorite sheriff has been busy today.

Gunter 6 weeks post op. He has something to say to me today about all this ridiculous bed rest I've prescribed and my instructions for a lifestyle change. Ie don't be a wild thing, little Doxie. I got an earful about that. Good thing this dog can't type or I'd hear about it on yelp, I'm sure. PS I was double booked at 11am- Gunter the 10 pound Doxie and Wally the 200 pound Great Dane. A study in contrasts. :) |

I always wear suspenders with a suit or sports jacket but never with a pullover sweater for the obvious reason.
Maybe if I had less of a gut, belts wouldn't suck as much for me. Maybe I should, oh I don't know, ride my freaking bike more and lay off the sweets. |

Two words: sock garters.

My sister is flying up from Alabama for turkey day and she lined up a job interview in Minneapolis on the Friday after.

You should start a thread about that.

For that problem, I've just been clipping them off when I need to and leaving them hanging over my shoulders while still underneath the sweater. It's easy enough to reattach afterwards.

Suspenders are back. Buy yourself a nice set or two and wear them with a dress shirt and a tie (don't forget the tie clip). I've been wearing suspenders for the last five years.

A tie clip never has been, is not now, and never will be fashionable. Like an engineer's pen case, calculator or slide rule.

...thanks to Rowan's help here, I have now devised a strategy to foil the alien invasion of the threadlockers. If I remember to buy all my blue threadlocker from Permatex, and all my red threadlocker from Loctite, the only place I will need my glasses is for the green stuff. http://www.bitcircus.com/gallery/mai...g2_itemId=2646 |

During my banking/accounting days, all of my suit pants were rigged for suspenders. I had about a half dozen sets of suspenders. I mostly wear jeans these days which are just fine with belts.
