After that it wouldn't boot at all (no beep patterns), and while it's "on" (but not putting anything to video) I can see the CPU and chassis fans sometimes slowing momentarily. So, I will try replacing the PSU. Failing that, build myself a NUC.

Bah!

The new line of NUCs are pretty cool. They do have one or two fanless models out there, now, too.

MMA is beyond brutal imo. It's uncivilized It just reminds me that we haven't advanced much past the barbaric days of the Romans in the arena. Some of us like to watch the same kind of thing.

That explains a lot.

Actually the main road past the house was Route 7, Limestone Road. Route 41 was nearby though. Senior moment!

I stopped watching it in the late 90's when the government got involved and they started having weight classes, rounds and time limits. It's weak now. Watch some clips of Royce Gracie and see the damage he did to other men.

Screw that. $800 will by a lot of tires, chains, cassettes, other consumables.

I have severe grass allergies and mowing 30x a year is hard on me. I finally hired landscapers last year and even my wife thinks it's one of the best things I've done.

I started having someone do my lawn when I had my heart attack in 1997. Best excuse ever, but I don't actually recommend it. Never stopped after that though I could have certainly resumed doing it myself. A very sweet luxury. Now that we are in the townhome (group of three units), the little there is to do is handled by my old lawn guy and paid for by all three of the owners.

FLvector 11-21-15 11:23 AM

Last year my JD rider mower had a major mechanical issue so I decided to hire a lawn service and give the mower to a friend. Best decision I made. No more wasting 2+ hrs/week mowing and edging in the heat of the summer after getting back from a long bike ride. I won't go back to doing it myself.

thin_concrete 11-21-15 11:28 AM

My sister was older than I was, and growing up, we had to help dad with the lawn work every week (this is in Tampa, FL, so heat, humidity...). At some point, my dad handed the responsibility over to my sister to, you know, show her little brother about work ethic, etc.

She hired a lawn service. It really was the best decision ever, and my dad never questioned after the first 2 visits. Nearly 30 years later, the original guy's son still mows my parents' yard.

So you're gonna leave your palm au naturel?

Beautiful ride into Delaware today. The pace was VERY civilized. We had 11 riders and 54 gorgeous miles!

Mown alfalfa. Was a corn field last year. Not as smooth as it looks.

They came with the bike. Liked them some much, I kept them when I rewrapped the bars.

ORLY? Glad it missed us. I guess I'd better finally get to draining that ol' gas out of the snowblower...
