I've had that problem randomly at work with IE11. Pretty fast machines and connection. In contrast my connection at home has been terrible lately (.5M down, and less upload) and I have never had an issue.
The problem is happening as type this right now. Doesn't matter how slow I type it still drops keystrokes. Often, if I go to 'Go Advanced' the problem seems to go way.

Not everyone has the permission to install the latest browser or any adblock. When I was having this problem it was definitely coming from the unblocked ads on a paleolithic browser. I never saw it with a current browser and haven't had it since upgrading membership.
Meanwhile, anyone ever get the one where you go back a page and the entire page is copied into the reply box somehow?
