I've switched jobs twice in the last 3 years and effectively doubled my salary. If you're not happy where you are move on. Life's too short to work a crappy job.

Life's too short to work.

I've changed jobs more often that I care to remember. Several of them were because the company went out of business, I don't think it was my fault. Some I left because I worked for an Ogre and some I left because by keeping my eyes and ears open I recognized the company had a precarious future. Such is the life in consulting engineering. My wife on the other hand has been with the same company for nineteen years. If she had to start looking for a job, she would not know where to begin.

That's why I stayed with the government until I retired. I worked part-time for a couple after that. The money was great but the rest was pretty sketchy.

You probably averaged 30 mph right? That seems to be the 41's go to average.

You've got to give dreamrider85/jaiyeko/The Reprise/ArmyOfOne credit for persistence. I count 14 locked threads on the first page of the general forum.

Are you still coming to Hobart every week?

Nah, it was hilly and pace really was modest. I think average was 16.5. Quite a drop from last week which was 20.

Speculation and incorrect.

I have never looked at the general forum. Anything of value there? How does it compare to the 41?

Honesty in numbers, a 41 first!

I like to think that Addiction is not part of the 41. Let me have my illusion.

I agree, we should call it the 41-ish.

In the spirit of "Being John Malkovich" (a good film which I highly recommend), I prefer to think of it as 41 and a half.

Many things in life are an illusion. At least the pissing contests stay out of here for the most part.

Working on it... problem is the places I really want to work seem to want just a bit more skills than I have.

Bah

Humbug.

In other news, getting quite serious about getting a 4Runner. Took a couple of test drives, got my loan numbers from Chase, now it's just a matter of the brass tacks of numbers.
