In light of the astonishingly mild NY area weather this month, I have become PGW (pro global warming). My New Year's Resolution is to drive the Corvette more in 2016 with a heavy foot.

That would be heaven, relatively speaking.

To foster global warming, I leave my car idling all night. Unfortunately, it's a hybrid, so it is not impactful.

That makes sense though. You are idle all night too, right?

CNC2204 has started a very innocuous sounding new thread, "Best bearing grease". I will not participate. Who thinks this thread will jump the shark (and the rails) very soon?

Stupid rain has forced me to cancel today's club ride. I may still try to sneak in a short solo jaunt on the rain bike.

What's the deal with red grease? Mine is always gray.

Twice, once by me and once by my wife, we've left our hybrid running by accident for an hour or so. Both times, the dash mpg meter stayed the same. :D

I use to make it a point to mow my lawn with a yard tractor on earth day.

Considering a don't grease any bearings except pedals, it's a moot point.

Objection! Nobody here has pillaged or plundered for weeks now.

I find the car ads that imply operating the car in electric mode is nearly free because one fills up the gas tank very rarely to be very disingenuous. But it is true that the mpg equivalent electric-mode fuel efficiency (based on electricity generation and distribution) is very, very good for most electric cars. The car makers should just be honest about it.

Everyone should start a thread.

Nice... I can't decide on a topic.... Either " what ceramic bearing is the fastest?" Or something along the lines of " does slamming the stem matter if I have a endurance bike with flat bars?"

You're right. An interesting note, though, is that we were caught in a traffic jam for 8 miles once stopping and starting for nearly an hour.. Our Prius V's mpg increased due to running mostly on electric. :)

Now I understand why you have not given me the "Post New Thread" button. :notamused:

I think it is great that BF, like everyone, gets new socks for Christmas.
