Bike Stuff on your Christmas List

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bike Stuff on your Christmas List

Didn't see a thread for this, so I thought In the Spirit of....here goes. What bike stuff have you purchased for yourself, or do you hope to find under the tree in a few days?

I just ordered a pair of Vittoria Open Pave EVO GC III's - it's Christmas and they were on sale !

It isn't? The GF says she didn't get me any apparel, but I think she might be fibbing. I think I might find a Showers Pass rain jacket under the tree.

I want the Park Tool Pizza Cutter and/or Reynolds Clothing Hangers. Both are bike-oriented but useful off the bike.

You do know that the traditional Gift-giving holiday is Purim, right? Chanukah's been blown out of proportion so the kids don't feel too left out.

Cue Adam Sandler:

It should be about buying yourself stuff. I left cycling socks to my wife's discretion and she didn't get socks that matched my kit and they were a different length than the rest of my socks throwing off my tan lines.

Do these weigh less than conventional hangers? How much drag reduction will I get putting away my laundry with these hangers?

Shorts, pedals, set of bike tools for the garage, insulated water bottles, glove liners, trunk bag for commuting, Big pump for the garage (I've been surviving on only a frame- mounted pump for 10 years!).

I asked for some fresh cat-ears, and a light, flat 15mm wrench to carry (or maybe secure to the saddle?) when riding the FG bike. Rollers are too much to ask for.

I asked for a Garmin Virb camera, SPD-SL cleats, Castelli fingerless gloves and Pearl Izumi full fingered gloves. I bought myself Boyd 44mm carbon clinchers on Black Friday that I'm waiting for. I think I'll order my road bike some Dura Ace stuff and. 5800 upgrade for my rain bike.

Tickets to New Zealand ... figuratively speaking. We've decided to give each other the gift of a cycling trip to New Zealand this year.

On that list I have 3T Aeronova bar and Williams carbon 20mm setback seat post. That would cover my wants and more time to ride would cover my needs

We've been talking about going to New Zealand for ages ... it's just a hop, skip, and jump away. But that's how it often is with stuff that's close by, you go everywhere else, except there. We have been to the Auckland airport a couple times, but we'd really like to see more.

And happy birthday!!
