Nutrition/training for metric quarter century?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Try to limit the amount of SLAMDANCING you do on the pedals. That will help you conserve your glycogen stores for this long ride.

You really need the mother of all oreos for a cycling endeavor of this magnitude.

Want BAD. I guess I need to start training. Will my 105 groupset be enough or should I upgrade?

You need the 155 groupset. It costs 50 more.

Best suggestion so far. 10/10 would let them get soggy in my jersey and still eat.

Are you planning on doing the double metric quarter century next year, or is that too much too soon?

You should get some AeroOreos aka Aereos. They are the fastest cookie money can buy.

Y'all can't go using the rest of the worlds metric system whenever you feel like. Pick one and choose.

Is there a McDonalds on the route? Grab a 1/9th kilogramer on the way.

I heard that aero trumps weight. I wonder if that's true for Oreos...

Impressive without a bike.

You're not using a bike, I hope.

Don't forget that it's not just about nutrition during the actual ride. You need to build up your reserves for this epic adventure. Remember to carbo load during your tapering! I recommend Olive Garden- their neverending pasta and breadsticks just can't be beat for cyclists. Go to lunch and/or dinner at least three times a week until your ride. Trust me. You'll be thanking me so much on the day.

I hear I can get a gruppo for less thanks to Brexit. This is a good idea. Will the batteries last for the duration of my ride?

You should carry some spares in your handlebar bag just to be safe.

Di2 is manufactured in Malaysia so you would need to wait for Mexit before getting a deal

I'm surprised nobody mentioned caffeine. Lots of it too. I recommend at least 2 Venti Frappuchinos before the ride, one in the bidon, and one post ride. Lots of nutritional caffeine, healthy fats, and necessary simple carbs for performance.
