Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

That still doesn't say what the taper is. What do you mean you had 1/8 all over? The old bike? And Neco brand isn't required. Many companies who make headsets make what you need. Cane Creek is a fine choice.

Maybe I'm not seeing it, but I keep watching Workswell hoping that they'll pop out a disc road frame that's intended for ~<30mm tires and doesn't look aero-silly. Maybe by the Spring when I might actually be in the market.

Most all the -open mold/knock off/generic frame/black framed whatever label you want to apply- bike I see have an 'aero-silly' look to them, even when they are apparently endurance geometry. Maybe its because almost all seem to be murdered out frame set color.
Anyways, I would guess you will see what you want in the coming year or maybe 2. Just depends how slow the companies take to follow trends.

Pretty nice .... I might go aero for my next, next bike .... Is that Red?

Interesting bars too ... the aero section is really long ... ahh, I just saw it. They are the bars with the round tube and slot for mounting. First time I have seen them on a bike.

Came with the frame/fork/seatpost/handlebar package..

Cervelo Aero Handlebar Copy

Cable housing routing was PITA.

I will need to scope the geometry on that one. I was leaning towards a mock F8 ... but I like that look.

Put on the Chinese carbon wheelset..

Got out for a 20 min ride to test out the bike, feels as stiff as my 20 y-o Kestrel with 650 wheels. The seatpost seems kinda flimsy.. torqued to spec but still tilts during ride.. may need to put some hockey tape in the clamp... or find a different seatpost..

Yeah, I am always scared when buying a frame from an EBay reseller. He's been around for a decade .... but he's only got 47 reviews? I would have to email him and get a geometry chart anyway, so i could get Some feel as to how reliable I thought he might be .... but thanks. I will look into it. The price is good ... and yours hasn't asploded yet.

Coming along, needed to determine the internal cable routing before bottom bracket is installed:

Before the cables can be routed, serious PITA trying to route (four) cable housings through curved carbon handlebar... with winged rises..

My initial thought were the bars looked ugly, too; but years of experience taught me to at least try it before I judge.
Far more comfortable than regular carbon fiber handlebars due to large flat areas on bartop and slight drop for your thumbs to rest in ergonomic positions, only PITA to route the cable housings.

Put together nicely enough.. test ride around the neighborhood just before the rain.
Still deciding whether to trim the housings further before all the finishing touches.

Thos e bars make it possibole to run the super-aero built-in stem and not have to reach all the way to the axles for the hoods, i figure.

Bars and stem or Toseek? Did they come with the frame?

How many miles of use do you have on those handlebars?

You say that they are comfortable, but you haven’t even used them.

Stem came with frame kit, along with fork, headset, bottom bracket.

I rode with the handlebar about 2 miles, without bar tape installed; but that's long enough for me to tell the handlebar is more comfortable than regular handlebar.
Additionally, that's 2 more miles that you've ever have experienced with these handlebars; since all you know is that they are hideous, likely that's all you'll ever know about them.

I got a pair of those Toseek Aeronova ripoffs. Holy crap. They were so flexy I actually got too scared to use them. The real aeronovas are flexy enough on their own, but I wouldn't touch those Toseek aero bars with a pole. They're seriously questionable.

I have some different Toseek aero bars on a bike. They do flex under load (and I am definitely a load) but i trust them and they have not broken on me yet. I figure I overstress the bars way beyond any safe limits, so if they are okay for me ....
