Thoughts on everything Assos?
Long story short, I'm in a position that I need to substantially replace/add to my cycling wardrobe. I road race throughout the year and I gravel grind through the winter. I guess I have a sensitive arse, but I struggled to find bibs that I liked until I found the Rapha Pro Team. My 3 sets of those bibs need to be refreshed, and I thought I would try Assos as I begin to hurt in the Pro Team bibs after 4+ hours.
Can you compare the Rapha Pro Team to the S7 line?
Thoughts on the Bonka v Habu Jacket? I need to cover temps from 20 F to 50 F...can one jacket do this?
Assos jerseys compared to Rapha Pro Team/Rapha Classic?

By all means get a lot of competing brands, compare and report back .. you first..
I stopped wearing bibs in the 80's..
they're too hard to pee with them on.
go a size larger next time,

I have yet to own any ASSOS product where I didn't feel it to be as good if not superior to most other things that I have owned. That said, would I pay list price? Nope, but I shop for good prices at closeout.

My only experience with Assos is a jersey I just recently purchased through the Assos on-line outlet store. I have been very impressed with the quality and performance of this jersey, it has become my favorite. Having said that as Fox Farm said, I too would not pay list price. Mostly because right now I am primarily commuting up to 70 miles per week and working to build up my long rides on weekends and I have for these needs, right now, Voler has worked well for me. If my riding increases and finding I need more performance, I would not hesitate to try other Assos products. Sounds like you are use to high end quality kits and perhaps riding a lot, so likely you will be pleased with Assos, but of course that is a personal choice.

I gave up on Assos. They are good but I like the chamois in the latest Rapha better. It's more comfortable on a long ride. For what its worth, I think the PI Pro line is as comfortable as Assos and it's easier to find PI on sale.

Admittedly, I've only worn Pearl Izumi but I have 4 pairs of the PI PRO Leader bib shorts and love them and I've worn them on tons of longer rides and several centuries without any problem. I also have 4 PI PRO jerseys and they fit me really well but there's a lot of trial and error with clothing with different brands.

I too am sorry to say that Assos did not work for me. I tried their latest shorts and tights and although they are constructed great and liked the ' man lounge' the chamois did not sit in the right place. The older stuff did. PI P.R.O. Has the same issue for me. For now Santini and DeMarchi are the ones that fit me best. If it matters I could stand to lose about 12lbs to be in the normal range(6' 1" at 200lbs 36"waist).
