Suggestions for a travel pump?
Using the regular Topeak and Lezyne frame pumps, and they kill me when I need to fully inflate a tyre. Will manage it when on the road, but need something with which we can fill tyres at the cottage/hotel when we first arrive. Something a bit larger than the frame mounted pumps but reasonably light weight and something I can toss in with my bike in the bike case.

I've got this
Lezyne - Engineered Design - Products - Hand Pumps - High Volume - Sport Drive HV
Fits in jersey pocket, rated to 90 psi and I've had no problem inflating tires on road bike in about 1 minute on side of the road

The choice of many loaded touring cyclists, including myself, is the Topeak Road Morph G. It basically expands into a mini floor pump, and it has a pressure gauge, although if you have compromised eyesight it can be a bit difficult to read.

Does Blackburn still have a full-size frame pump? Mine fits perfectly on all my bikes, and has a handle that pivots, to make a REAL perpendicular handle when pumping up. Good for 150+psig, too.

Ask the cottage/hotel if they already have a floor pump for bike riders. Sounds like you do bike tours and perhaps the cottage/hotel caters to riders like you. That way you don't have to carry one with you.

I face the same issue when I tour.
Floor pumps = way too big to tote around.
Mini pumps = way too small to do the job efficiently.
I settled on topeak road morph.

Topeak makes a Transformer RX floor pump/portable bike stand combo that folds into a slender, if long, form factor: Topeak® Cycling Accessories ? Products - 2_Transformer? RX

Yes, on my touring bike that lacks the pump peg I securely wrapped a zip-tie around the head tube. The little nub of the zip-tie that acts as a clamp also serves perfectly as a pump peg for the Zefal HPX (which I still consider to be the best frame pump). Another possible mounting spot when you want water bottles on both seat and down tubes is to put the pump alongside the NDS seat stay. The pump head fits in the space where the seat stays and seat tube come together and the handle end rests on the end of the wheel quick-release.

Are you looking for something extra to bring with you to inflate the tires at the cottage, or do you want something that you can carry on your bike?
If you want an extra larger pump, the frame pump is not a bad idea. I think the frame pump is difficult to carry on the bike because I believe it requires some sort of peg built into the frame.
Cannondale makes a full size pump that folds somewhat:

Topeak makes something similar as well, the Megamorph (note that this is a full size pump just with some additional folding to fit in your luggage, I've seen it in person, it's way to big to fit on your bike, it's nowhere near as small as the road morph you mentioned already owing):

Specialized makes something that folds up into a case but I don't know much about it:

For a pump that would fit on your bike, the highest capacity pump I know of is the Axiom Enforceair HP Mini Floor Pump:
Axiom Enforceair HP Mini Floor Pump - Mountain View Cycles 205 Oak St Hood River OR 97031 541-386-2453
It's similar to the Topeak Road Morph, but rated higher (200psi rather than 160psi) - I don't know if it's actually significantly better or not.
P.S. Maybe something electric powered like this would work?

That's my question too. OP started by saying his current pump is ok on rides, but wants something easier to use before he heads out on the ride... but later on there's questioning about how some suggested pumps fit on the frame?

I find my Topeak OK in an emergency, but a pain when I have to do 4 or 6 tyres at the beginning of the vacation [wife and daughter ride too]. Later I asked about the Zefal, as it seems to be a higher volume pump than post. I think the solution is what Paul suggested, the Cannondale.

Resurrecting this thread, are there any updated options for a travel pump, not something to carry on the bike, but something to inflate tires while doing multi day touring away from home? Ease of fitting in a suitcase, reasonably light weight, not over tiring to inflate a tire, andpreferably has a gauge are features I would want in this type of pump.
The Topeak Road Morph and the Lezyne Micro Floor Pump both look like options as well as the Topeak Transformer RX. I'm not ready to try the Silca Viaggio. I usually use Co2 on the road, it has worked fine for me most of the time. Something like the Zefal HPX might do dual duty as on-the-bike and top off/fill up pump, but somehow I just can warm to how these pumps attach, I prefer something with a hose like the Lezyne Micro Floor pump.
Anything else to consider?

This compact floor pump lives permanently in my car. It lays flat and takes up very little space.

Specialized Air Tool Compak. About 20" long with thread on head and inline gauge which checks with my dedicated dial gauge. I've been using one for 4-5 years and pump my tandem tires to 120# with no problems at all. The case is slim and easy to travel with. It's no longer on Specialized's web store but I did find a site with Google that still has them.
