I need a new pair of lightweight long finger gloves. The ones I currently have are Specialized Radiators which apparently were discontinued. I really love these gloves for temps in the 40s when half finger gloves are not enough but winter gloves are too much.
Any suggestions? Current ones are starting to fall apart, they are several years old.

So you're a whole milk guy, I assume?
I pretty much always measure milk I consume which is part of the calorie tracking thing. And sometimes you want a high glycemic index, right? My recovery drinks are a combo of skim milk, whey protein isolate, some sugar source & some flavor source. I never really considered the GI of skim vs whole milk, but I'd argue skim is a better choice in this context & the protein is so satiating anyway, no need for fat on that account.
Also, if you mostly use skim milk in recipes as opposed to drinking it- like say my morning oats- don't the other ingredients temper the GI of the milk?
One thing I've discovered is every little calorie counts for some of us who are prone to chubbiness. So an extra 25 cal of milk fat per day used non-strategically (ie when you don't need to temper GI or provide satiety) can make a difference.
Personally, I think you could argue it either way on skim vs whole milk. The one thing I can't really make work for me is drinking glasses of milk, though. Too many calories for the satisifaction you get from it.
But coffee I generally like black or with huge amts of milk & sugar (ie a latte) used as a recovery drink.

If you count calories as well as grams of fat/protein/carbs, you can eat whatever you want. You just need to adjust portion size.
I am a fat ****. I ate a churro and baked ziti today. And I'm off to a conference in NOLA tomorrow, so all I'll do is eat, drink, and sit in class.

I'm good with Geier unlined deerskin. My break point for wearing these vice my half fingers is low-mid 50's.

Don't know about fancy, but I agree with at $50+ they're not cheap. The pair I'm currently using for riding, though, is mebbe 15 years old. Not originally purchased for bike riding but much worn and still have a whole lot of life left.
Fwiw, I'm not a gear snob. I save that for coffee. Gear, I just go with whatever I've found to work best. My favorite around the house work gloves are $10 pigskin Wells Lamont.

Geier does half sizes and will do a first time on their shipping dime replacement if you get it and/or the color you want wrong. Know this is still current policy 'cause wife decided to surprise with a new/another pair for my birthday this year and did get it wrong. Replacement in hand within a week of returning. Didn't mean to turn this into a marketing pitch but these guys are old school quality folk worthy of the praise.

Maybe you can jog around a levee or something after conference. It might be stupid but it beats getting fat(ter).

You will enjoy New Orleans. One of my emails from work today was touting the new, healthier options in Tulane's hospital cafeteria. But you can walk right outside to the food trucks and get some great BBQ or Thai food. There are options everywhere. Ooh, and it's fall- we've actually been staying in the 80s, I've almost had to break out a sweater .

Not that I'm aware of and I've never had a problem with whole/sliced/chopped almonds, but almond milk is just a "go directly to the bathroom - do not pass 'Go'" kind of deal.

I keep asking myself, "how is it that some of these Addicts haven't ridden 100 miles in a day?" It seems like such a basic think to check off your cycling list fairly early on.
Short attention spans perhaps?

I don't dispute your statements. I do wonder, however, if we are not to believe now what we were taught before, why should we believe now what we are taught now? When will food and health scientists get this stuff right? And for how long will it stay right?

I haven't done one since I was a young pup. Just not my idea of enjoyment.
