Advice on bike fit/setup replication for two frames

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Advice on bike fit/setup replication for two frames

I know this has been discussed in various fashions elsewhere, but I'm a noob and some of it is challenging to follow. Hypothetically, could you set up bike B to fit similarly to bike A by adjusting stem length/angle/seat height, etc? Let me know if I'm missing important measurements. Thank you!

Bike A:
Effective Top Tube 586
Frame Stack 614
Frame Reach 396
Head Angle 73.9
Seat Angle 72.7
Saddle Height ~80cm
Stem 100mm

Bike B:
Effective Top Tube 581
Frame Stack 618
Frame Reach 391
Head Angle 71.5
Seat Angle 73
Saddle Height ??
Stem ??

The bikes are so close you may need a 110mm stem, but likely when you set up the new bike, the bars will be within 5mm of each other.

The easiest way to transfer fit between bikes, is measure saddle setback and height on bike 1.

Adjust bike 2 to match.

Measure saddle to bar distance on bike 1.

Select stem that will add/subtract the correct amount to make bike 2 match bike 1.

Thanks for the feedback, appreciate it. Sounds like you think that if I was able to get the fit I wanted on bike A, I'd be able to get the same fit on bike B given a few small tweaks?

Thanks, this is super helpful. But, I'm in the "would this work" phase as opposed to the execution phase.

You can get close, but you likely will not have perfectly identical set ups.

For the BB to Saddle position, you should be able to get those identical.

But getting the handlebars identical will probably not happen simply because stems are offered in increments of 5mm or, more commonly, 10mm. That, coupled with the frame geometry, is likely to prove a roadblock to perfectly replicating fit. That said, the difference will be small, small enough that you should not have any issues..
