Huh? You have some that are both those sizes?

1.5" x 2" sounds roughly like a 645 format (6cm x 4.5cm, or 2.36" x 1.77"). I still have a Mamiya 645 film camera, but I don't think it works. Lugged that thing with a metered view finder, power winder and three lenses across the U.S. and then some during my '99 bike adventure. Took 120 film.

Boston sleep-a-thon.

My grandfather had this old twin lens reflex that I used to borrow from time to time. It took 120 film and produced 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 inch negatives.

Can you still buy 120 film, contact paper, Dektol and all that stuff?

Yes, but what's the point?

Lunch talk- I just love good, rare roast beef from the deli. A lot. With salt and pepper. Mmmmm.

Turned into a delicious sandwich for the 5th day in a row. Never get tired of it. I guess my sodium levels probably do.

Pales in comparison to beet pills, my friend. You really must try them some time.

Well, yes; but I'd imagine that there are C&V types out there in the photo world who would still get into that sort of thing.

No, I didn't take pictures.

I was in Panama Beach a few years ago and it was about 50-55° that day with a harsh wind. I was riding my bike and saw a guy in shorts and wife-beater undershirt waxing a Cadillac in the shade. I thought to myself that he must be from Minnesota. When I got close enough to read his plate, my suspicion was confirmed. :)

Since this is really a bike board, I'd like to report that Mrs.T and I did a 26 mile tandem bike ride.

The log will read:

Nice easy tandem ride.
26.0 mi. at 16.2 mph
Sunny, 72°, SSE at 5-12 mph
Pollen - 11.1

Although I did have one "moment" Sunday. I was riding down a little banked sweeping area that's a piece of cake, other than the fact it's real loose with golfball sized stones. Normally I just monster truck over everything with my 3" tires, but I actually slid badly this time. I think I was at ~ 30 deg angle to the ground (bars almost touching), but I steered into it (up the bank) and managed to get it under control. It was damn close, though.

I'll show you the spot before too long :innocent:

That's some wild ****. No idea when this injury suite settles (I think sooner than later actually) but I need to use a small portion for another road bike and or entry level mountain.

I'll measure them. I'd never seen negatives like that. If they came on a roll, they were later cut up.

Don't know much about film cameras, but maybe something like a Kodak Brownie would have been era-appropriate.

Didn't you tell us at some point that your dad flew bombers? Those would be some amazing photos.

Mostly people I don't recognize. But some nose art as well. I'll at some point get them organized into albums so I can share them. I found out, yesterday, that I can convert them to digital positives with my android. Exciting stuff.

Various aspect ratios were obtained from various cameras with the same film. The common feature was one dimension being about 2 1/4 inches or 6 cm. Since the most inexpensive box cameras also used 120 film BITD and produced rectangular negatives from it, a perfect identification of the camera could be hard.

Your friend is turning the proceeds over to you? Why? Blackmail?
