I'll be driving to Grand Isle, LA today for a couple of days of fishing. Then on to NOLA for a few days of eating and drinking. Folks, do try to get along during those periods when I can't keep track of you. And FGS please try to get your spelling, grammar, and word usage right. I don't want to be coming back here after several hours and finding page after page of language atrocities that need correcting. That is all.

Speaking of mowing, question. We got that battery powered Ryobi mower a few weeks ago, and after that day 1 exchange because of a DOA mower, the 2nd one has been working flawlessly and has just enough juice to do our front and parts of the back yard.
Anyway, we have lots of pine cones in the yard. Too many to rake up, in fact. I've been passing over them with the mower, which makes a heck of a pinging noise. Wifey thinks it's going to kill the mower, I say it may dull the blade faster than grass but you can sharpen those and it doesn't pose any real danger to the machine itself.
What say you, Addiction lawn care experts?

New finance girl made a point to say that she checked me out on linked in, that we are similar in age, and inquired about the 'crazy girlfriend ' that calls and asks for me. That's the nick name that we gave to one of our customers. My radar for expressed interest is shot to hell, but I'd say that's a light ping. I'm not in the habit to poop where I eat, but it's not everyday I'm chased, if even lightly. Hmmmmm.

I probably should just mow when she's not around. She was pulling weeds while I mowed last week and one of the pinecones zinged out of the side of the mower and missed her head by a foot. That started the whole "you shouldn't use it that way" conversation.

We have a bird here, the groove-billed ani, that likes to dance in the weedeater strings. A little bit ago, I saw one on the porch, taunting the dogs. I have no doubt that, with a little effort, I could feed them out of my hand.

Yes 100%. I have less-than-zero interest in stuff like that. He likes anything with moving parts that can be disassembled and then reassembled, so bikes are right up his alley (although he has less-than-zero interest in riding them).
He comes to all my races actually, sets up the trainer for my warm up and all my paraphernalia, packs up after etc.

Happy Kent State Day
There is a guy in my adopted hometown, in Ohio, who has spent the last 47 years in a wheelchair, having been shot in the back during that incident.

When Connie decided what roads to ride on, it's pretty cool she chose Cherryvale. It's down the street from my house and my favorite road in town. Connie, Taylor, and I all think alike.

Nice. Too bad it's so far away and so expensive to live there, or I would be your neighbor (cue Mr Rogers' theme song).
