Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Interesting. On my Pedal Force CX1 (front disc only), I have always run my front quick release 'reversed' with the lever on the drive side to make it easier to close and open without the disc or caliper in the way. I'm guessing there was similar motivation on the part of your fork vendor.

I'm sure the Stinner frame will clear 40mm. But no way will the Sram etap front derailleur work with 40mm - at least not with my configuration. I've ordered 32 Schwalbe tires for a gravel race that requires minimum 32 to enter. The shop had the Gravelking in stock but only 40s.

Might be; not sure. Quick release is more difficult with the rotor in the way as I know from the tandem where the rear is QR and on the disc side. Tough to tighten/loosen and avoid touching the rotor.
