Pedals
I just got a Trek 1000 with wellgo pedals. Are wello pedals ok or should I upgrade them? I noticed they are only single sided which make it more difficult to clip in. My shoes are allot better than the pedals I have got Diadora Ergo. Also you guys got any tips for using clip less pedals because I am new to Road Biking.

Your Trek 1000 came with wellgo clipless? That's pretty cool. I think your LBS likes you because I think the 1000 is supposed to come with clips and straps.
Try them. If they work OK keep them. I have wellgos and they have worked great.
All road pedals only clip on one side (as far as I know.)

Yeah Welgos have come along way in the last few years. They even make a ti spindle MTB pedal now. I just threw on some clipless welgos on my wife's road bike. She's been a CRUISER type rider but wants to try road riding, so for her first set of clipless, Welgo wins for the price!

this newbie just started riding a new 1200 with wellgos.... you will hear the same refrain all over this forum: the initial awkwardness fades fast and you soon wonder how your rode w/o clipless...
newbie tips: practice stepping out amap so that the first time you have to do so on short notice during some road emergency it will be an automatic muscle response; also, like the guy at the shop probably showed you, be sure to clip out from the top and step forward....
the wellgos on my 1200 work well (with bargain basement shoes not nearly as nice as yours) and have had no issues or complaints here (albeit after only ~100 miles)

Don't get hosed about N-sided entry, one sided is easy, just practice.
Oh yeah, also practice one legged uphill pedalling while you're at it (so you don't fall over when you misclip).

I've used many different brands all costing more but I like Wellgo's the best.
