Same for us, actually. If someone misses an appointment, the best I can do is require that they leave a deposit before scheduling a new one. Its frustrating because they take up two hours out of my schedule but in the end only pay for one. Most people that are going to flake about showing up for the rescheduled appointment won't even reschedule if they have to leave a credit card number. The people who do leave the deposit typically show up, but they have a black mark already in my mind on account of my wasted hour. Sometimes its just the kind of thing that happens in life and the people turn out to be great and all is forgotten eventually. But if they're not great people, though, that original no-show usually means I don't go out of my way to accommodate those folks. They still get everything done right and by the book. But I'm not going above and beyond for them or bending the rules or intervening with their insurance company on their behalf or whatever. |

I should have no trouble reaching 15,000 by the end of the month, which is my goal.

It seems like just a minute ago that I was at 14,950.

Chasing the Pcad BF Lifetime Post World Record is utterly pointless, but don't feel so bad, breaking the record would be even more pointless. A perfect storm of futility.
Now where else can you find that besides the 41? |

And you didn't get mugged. :thumb: Before they developed that whole part of the riverbank I used to ride my MTB or walk through there when heading up to visit people in W. Philly, where I grew up. It was incredibly seedy. Some drug sales and a good deal of male prostitution going on in the overgrown areas. The playground and dog park area on the south end was referred to by some as "Judy Garland Park" because there were often used condoms in the sandbox. Boy have things changed. |
There has been a rainbow over N. Philly for at least the last 10 min.

Interesting. It was beautiful yesterday afternoon, I took some really nice pics which I would post if photofukit were an option. I saw lots of walkers, some runners, and even a few MUP bike racers. The river water looked kinda polluted but nothing is perfect.
Over the last year or so there have been several instances of assaults along the east bank, including sexual assaults. Cameras have been, or shortly will be, installed. |
Turns out the keyboard doesn't like the hammock. A little too much give to perform properly. The contraction thing has to do with the international keyboard. I'll have to save my spanish correspondence for the phone. #nottheendoftheworld
