You only have so much traction to divvy up among accelerating, slowing, turning, etc. Once you're either spinning or sliding, you need to reevaluate - that might mean a lighter touch on the gas (instead of idiotically gunning it and spinning the wheels, like I'm hearing outside) or even taking your foot off the brake when you're sliding in to a turn (which many people find to be scary and counter-intuitive).
Doesn't sound like it.

Too much frosting is an oxymoron. Cake is merely something to spread frosting on. I make these frosted brownies. At Thanksgiving dinner a friend says that you are not supposed to frost brownies. I told her to try one. We “discussed” it for a little while. About ten minutes later she allowed as how they were really good brownies. Frosting rules.
Who dislikes frosting? Heathens!

Yesterday a 35 mile drive took me 2 hr 20 min. I thought I was going to miss my doctors appt. on the way home (no longer rush hour): my drive was 43 min.
We are currently sitting in gridlock trying to get from the San Fernando Valley to the LA Basin (more medical stuff). Today's 35 mile drive is looking like it will be 1:45, we are missing the blackest heart of rush hour, just hitting the purply bruise-colored edges of it.
However I will say that we were indeed traveling maybe 40 mph on the 5 at the moment I snapped that pic. Traffic is a huge time suck here, it's so unbelievable to me how much it costs in terms of lost productivity and diminished QOL, yet there's not enough political will that really try to solve it.

I am in the frozen tundra of western Pennsylvania but will GTFO before it turns nasty on Thursday. I might ride in the Arctic 42 degrees and 17 mph winds that are predicted tomorrow. It will be a short ride if I do it. Rain today and windy. I rode yesterday and it was 53 which is crazy warm for December. It was not too bad. I might finally be adapting some.

Vain, But Lacking Talent
So shopping for washing machines online is basically no use. Every machine has a bunch of 5 star reviews with happy customers followed by one star reviews wherein the decision to buy said washing machine has ruined them financially and made them question the meaning of life itself, requiring many hours of therapy. I mean when people hate their washing machines, they REALLY hate them. I see almost no middle of the road reviews saying "Does a good job, but is kind of noisy" or "I wish it would use a little more water." No, when a washing machine does a bad thing, it's basically the end of the world.

You would probably need a new crankshaft and bottom bracket. I'm betting you have BB30 on that Cannondale and most steel frames are going to be an English threaded BB. Not a bad thing, but be aware of that. Otherwise, I don't see why it wouldn't go fairly smoothly. What parts are on their right now?

I don't know the Synapse, but if the sizes of things like the bb and the tubes are the same, and you have a workstand, it's not a big deal.

Not much.
Initial post just said "spinning", which could be minor and unavoidable by anyone.

The actual physical effort to swap things over is pretty low though. I strip my frame down a few times a year just for maintenance. Bikes are pretty simple.

That's right. Forgot about that. Made that oversight going from the Cannondale to a Trek frame and had to buy a new front derailleur. But those can be had for 20-30 bucks new.
