Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Trek Domain Cable Routing

Help I am seriously considering buying this Domain. The seller says that it is a 2015 6.2. Shouldn't it have internal cable routing?

I don't know about that,

but it should have a shorter chain.

I think it's a Domane 4.5, not a 6.2. The 4 series has that color scheme, the same seat post, instead of the seat mast that the 6.2 has, and external cable routing. It's a great bike, but not a 6 series.

Definitely not a 6-series. The 5 & 6 series has the seat mast and not a seat post. As the above poster mentioned it definitely looks like a 4.5.

Thanks, the seller got back to me and said that is a 4.5 that he "upgraded" to a 6.2 by changing to Ultegra. It's in great condition but I am going to pass on this sale.

Good call! Component upgrades alone does not make it a 6.2.

I have the same frame. And yes, it is a 4.5. The frame is a 'lesser grade' (400 series) of carbon than the 6.X (500 series). A wonderful frame nonetheless.
