Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Can 2012 Di2 do syncro shifting?

I have a 2012 S5 with the ultegra Di2 system with external battery.

Few questions.

How can I find out what model Di2 my bike has?

Can this Di2 system be updated to synco shifting via E-tube using the SM-PCE1?

Can this Di2 system be updated to the BT-DN110 internal battery and avoid buying the SM-PCE1?

Thanks!

The Shimano Di2 E-Tube compatibility chart is here:

If not using the BT-DN1100 battery that's the first thing needed, as Synchro software resides on that battery unit. Generally you do not need the SM-PC1 as you can do component updates via the cable supplied with the 110 battery, connected to a PC based E-Tube software.

Ok it looks like I have Di2 6770 so I don't think syncro shifting will work with this.

Thanks.
