Thinking About Rollers

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yep. I've had rollers for the last 5 years. I used them exclusively for indoor riding until I got a smart trainer last fall. Still use them from time to time when I'm doing a lot more outdoor riding and want to go inside to outside without setting stuff up on the trainer.

Have also owned a pair of powercranks. Now there's some gimmicky **** in the same vein as this "smoothness" stuff.
