Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Since everyone is bummed out today here's a joke to cheer you up. Remember, laughter is the best medicine.

2 peanuts were walking down the street when one peanut hit the other peanut. What kind of peanut was the one who was hit? He was a salted (assaulted) peanut.

Here’s a 1st world problem: The head of the clamp bolt on the lever of my FD hits my new rear fender. I moved it aft with a stack of rubber washers between the fender and the chainstay bridge, but now the bolt head is 5 mm from the tire. Need to find a pan head screw.

Much as I enjoy riding at night, it is a very different thing than daytime riding. No peripheral vision takes some getting used to.

What would that do toward solving the problem? Perhaps you were thinking 'tireless' and you misspoke.

If you spend enough $$$ a light can have plenty of light down the road and well into the sides. On high, my bike light is brighter than my car on low beam..

You know, this one used to have light to the side. I'll have to look into that. First night ride in nearly a year; it will take some time getting used to it.
