Why are roadies going 1x11 or 1x12?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Keep those bear pictures coming. We wouldn't want the thread to become........unbearable. It's nearly a Grizzly situation as it is.

1. Because most riders (myself included) lack the talent to execute a 2xWhatever shift pattern efficiently. 1x simplifies shifting.

What year Madone do you have? I don’t think stem extender will work, based on the proprietary design of the last two generations

If my legs spinning so fast I can’t keep up comfortably, I shift to a larger gear. If my legs feel like I am doing lunges, I shift to a smaller gear.

Here's another one. It's easy to take lots of pictures of your bike … when you have a bike.

Here's one with some god beams.

Here's one with larches.

Great photos/scenery.
What handlebars are on your bike? Enve?

Many here have given you a hard time lately(about the Madone), but you have to understand why. A Madone is clearly the wrong bike for you, and almost everyone told you that.

After a year of seeing your carbon is crap, And 6/4 Ti is superior shtick, you must understand why people here doubt your purchased a Madone.

Most of us try to keep things polite, but don't play us for fools.

Make sure that a can of "noodle soup" is prominently visible in your pic to prove authenticity.

noodle soup was required when you take that pic otherwise it's not real proof!
Will we see that required and now iconic can of "noodle soup" as well?
What's good for the goose is good for the gander.
