Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

CYCLEOPS comparrisons. or something better?

trying to figure out the major difference between trainers.. have looked up trainers and comparrisons in the forums history.. but couldn't really figure out what the major difference in trainers was. so, fluid seems to be better becausee it lasts longer, better quality, and less noise? and magnetic ones are just a little louder? is it going to be a big difference between a wind, and a fluid? or a mag, and a fluid? is the ultimate choice a cycleOps fluid?

I can't do comparisons since I read OTHER people's comparisons before buying my CycleOps Fluid2 trainer. What I can say is that I am sitting 25 feet from the trainer, my wife is using it, and I am computing while watching TV. No, it's not loud. Very nice, very sturdy. Make sure you get the front wheel support, too.

If you are a power rider, or can turn the cranks in the big gears, go with the fluid. Mag's tend to fall behind in this point.
