Going to do another club ride. I know at least a couple people will be there who I can ride with.

That's just it, too hot for me, 5 months of 100+ degrees?? That's crazy.
. . . plus a couple other things.

We took a short trip to Great Barrington MA last night for dinner and a comedy show. Didn’t get home until 1, so I didn’t get to ride before the snow started this AM.
it was a nice little town, looked like some awesome riding terrain in the area.

My wife is out there as we speak, visiting her sister who's recovering from covid. She keeps telling me about the mild weather and calm breezes lately, but I've never experienced that on any of my visits. lol

Started that morning in E. Otis, MA. MA 23 to the east is a nice road. Getting into Hillsdale, NY on a Sunday afternoon was a bit hairy at times.
I ate lunch in GB at the edge of a shopping center parking lot. The business next door was playing 60s and 70s music outside, and a lot of older, hippie looking people were coming and going. Thought it might be a recovery/treatment place. Looked it up on my phone. It was a recreational pot store.
If you get a chance, the Harlem Valley Trail a bit south of Hillsdale is paved and really nice. A guy I know rode it the day before I did and had to stop to let a bear move away.

Wordle 266 5/6
⬜🟨⬜⬜⬜
⬜⬜🟨🟩🟨
🟩🟩⬜🟩⬜
🟩🟩⬜🟩🟩
🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
I sometimes feel silly if the solution is a simple word and I've 'wasted' a guess on something more exotic, but I think there's no reason to believe that there's any greater likelihood the solution is a common word than something more obscure.
That's what I tell myself, anyway. I think it was Thursday's, though, that was embarrassing - I got down to *atch after 3 clues, and I ended up not getting it at all, using all my remaining guesses on *atch words like match, patch, and batch. You'd think someone who collects them would have thought "WATCH" first, but no.

I went with watch the other day because I thought they would throw in a different pronunciation than latch, patch, etc.

We had 11º this AM and the winds are in the teens. I'm tired... really tired of it and April is generally no picnic, either, with the dampness and wind. Temps aren't generally that great, either.

I'm glad I no longer live in the frozen tundra and the lake effect snow belt. It'll be in the 60's and 70's here next week.

Living in CA for a while, you get nostalgic for winter sometimes. Visiting during winter weather is a good cure for this. Mrs. GeneJockey may miss snow, but I can guarantee she will not drive in that s**t if we move Back East.
