62° today and the roads are seriously wet from snow melt. Still, had to ride. Got my trike out, pumped the tires, installed the front fenders and charged the Di2 since it hadn’t been ridden in a few months. Only got 21 miles but it was glorious to get out without freezing my testicles off or numbing them from sitting on the trainer.

I broke down last week and finally ordered some nice selvedge jeans. I was very particular about all of the garment dimensions to ensure that my splurge would fit exactly how I want them to.
The jeans arrived today and I was excited to try them on. They look great and measure out perfectly... but *my* dimensions seemed to have changed slightly since I measured them in mid-summer, so I have my marching orders.
I mean, they do fit, and they fit nicely, but there's no room for extra donuts at this point.

I'm doing my damndest to get rid of all the excess high-calorie treats leftover from Christmas, and what does The Older Boy do but buy ANOTHER Pecan Pie. And The Younger Boy's GF brought over a loaf of banana bread, which she and her Mom make really well.
On the plus side, I took Rango for a walk, so there's - what, 100 calories?

Then one time I said that, Mrs. GJ pointed to The Boys, and said, "Ah, but we ARE making two other people miserable!"

I dated one girl for a year, and got fairly serious, but she didn't pun. I don't think it could have worked out over the long run. Mrs. GeneJockey not only appreciates puns, but also makes them herself. When we met, we just fell into punning with each other, back and forth. It's why I say if we didn't end up together, we'd be making two other people miserable.

I'm pretty sure my 81-year-old father did like 7,000 miles this year. He's not on Strava though, so it doesn't count.

Saw a bicycle related shirt while waiting for our table. Most bike diagram shirts feature ye olde steel bikes, so seeing a modern frame had me very interested...
... then I noticed the rim brake caliper on the upper left, which clashed with the disc brakes on the front wheel ... and then I looked at the rear wheel. The horror. Disc up front and rim brake rear? Seeing the toe cages was just salt in the wound, at that point.

”how I roll”. Do you think that is how this person actually “rolls”?

Looks like a Specialized gobbler... The clamping hardware looks kind of like Trek (I'm not sure what the Specialized hardware looks like).
It's just a mess. A non-cyclist just grabbed a bunch of stuff from wherever and made it in to line art.
