Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I don't know what model it was, I just know I needed to give it back before I messed it up. I was thinking about it and another friend had some beater bikes we rode on the dirt back then. Also, my LBS guy had some beaters he would loan out for night rides in the hills and we would get pizza after. Good times.

I have a 35 year old cage in my parts bin. It's white to match the original color of the Schwinn. Might put it back on the Schwinn for the next incarnation.

I have a couple of 60s and 70s cages out in the garage bit too hot to go visit them now.

This is the oldest one I have in the house. Must be about 30 years old. It's actually bright yellow under that ivory crust

Nope.

TweetDeck lists haven't worked the last two days. This evening when I fired it up they gave me the garbage new version. SMH

The last pair of bottles I had before the Camelbaks were single wall and the side of one started leaking. It had worn thin from the cage and it just broke through.

The Camelbak bottles are the best I've used. I've had them for years, (10, maybe?) and they seal perfectly. I'd buy them again if these ever wear out.

I broke a lot of cages, though.

I had one of them on my old mtb when I sold it. I filed slots in it to make the pump mount fit better.

Oooh, I've read some complaints about the new Tweetdeck, but haven't looked at it yet.

That’s weird - the last couple days I’m seeing all of the Twitter and YouTube posts. For the last year or so, I couldn’t see them.

It's a downgrade from the original.

Previously when it appeared I could switch back to the olde, but not tonight.

Slow morning, everyone must be watching YouTube classic rock videos. Except Vol, he is watching the life story of John Philip Sousa. Probably.

I'm thinking about getting dog tags again. Should I get it, yes or no and why. Go.

I think you may be too old to re-enlist, at this point.

In other old people news, I think I'm going to wuss out on the Mt Baldy ride this morning. At least 6 from my club are going but at least 2 will be on e-bikes and the others are way faster climbers than I am. It's not like a hilly ride where I can gain on downhills or they wait at the tops of climbs, it's a steady climb (one little descent) where the climbers just keep going. I'm really on the fence because I like the ride a lot but I'm not recovered from the weekend. I don't mind climbing by myself but I don't want to struggle.
