Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Roka has Transitions lenses now. That'll be the ticket for morning runs.

Absolutely! She has been CRUSHING for his year. A similarly dominating performance as we saw in the men’s race.

I used to think of it in sixpack terms. Long ago and in a land far away.

The XCO races were pretty good.
I heard there was a "controversial" move by the winner late in the Men's race but I didn't see it. I watched the last lap and the highlights. Sad to see MVDP crash early.

Weather update:
Repeat of yesterday, heavy rain and lightning.

Also: the Pirates manager, the pitching coach and the bench coach were thrown out for arguing balls and strikes. They are leading 4-3 in the bottom of the 6th.

The incident happened in the XCC, and the controversy was surrounding the 3rd place finisher of that race. That guy won the XCO race yesterday. From what I saw (watched multiple times from different angles), it was a competitive move by a determined competitor fighting for a place on the podium. He beat the rider who had been ahead of him into the last corner, and they tangled on the exit. IMO, it was a “racing incident”.

Chip seal on a road bike sucks. Riding in dirt with the right tires is fun.
