It doesn't. Canyon will pay local bike shops to do most work needed. Yeah a cracked frame will have to go back but the big brands are terrible at that too. Also almost all the big brands ship direct to consumer bypassing the bike shop. Plus I've had plenty of terrible service at bike shops. Like many of you I have been riding a long time and have had just about everything. But no issues with my two Canyons. It helps I live in Carlsbad though where Canyon USA is based. I'd like to get the Endurace with Ultegra but it has an integrated bar and stem which I think makes no sense on an endurance bike. But I have no complaints about 105 Di2.
