Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

My crashes tend to involve head injuries. That one last week gave me scare enough that I will now wear a helmet on every ride, even the town bike. Note: All of my crashes have been self-inflicted.

there was a while where I wanted a "hot hatch", complete w a turbo and manual transmission. The Focus ST was on the short list.

but, I stalled on it (pun intended) and then my parents ended up selling us their 2012 Prius for 3 grand a few years ago, basically a gift. I think things ended up better that way.

How many do you have now? I think I remember you sold 1 or 2 a while back. I had 5 cars at one time. 2 daily drivers and 3 projects.

Running, though across campus in the opposite direction of Flagstaff as it turns out. Maybe one of these days I'll head up there and take a pic for y'all.

There's a Focus ST on the street here. Prius is certainly more practical. Had one of those myself, though I think a 2011 or so.
