Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I get the hesitation about not having the current standard of fully-hidden hose routing. However, the ride quality and handling of that bike may make you forget about that detail in a hurry. Time simply builds excellent bikes, and have done so for a long time. My 20yo Time VX is still the best handling bike I've ever ridden. My friend who rides an ADH feels the same way about his bike.

The guy selling the ADH 21 wants very little for it, it’s very close geometry wise to my Aspero / old R3. I may wait and see if time drops the price any more on the 23 models before pulling the trigger, we will see.

Precisely. The best thing one can do for long term security is to insure your expensive bike.

. . . . and lock your car door.

I won't say how much weight I have gained since before Thanksgiving, but let's just say it will be a while getting rid of it. Nobody to blame but myself, though I COULD point a finger at The Older Boy, who keeps buying ice cream for the fam.

You sure it's not really compression? Body compresses and gut gets bigger?

If the loss of height comes from compression of the spine, he'll only get stranger (bike fit-wise)
