IDK if it was legs or mentality (I was scared) but I did not have thecajones cojones to make it over the first KOM with the leaders. Had IT issues so I didn't join till like 10 seconds before the start. After getting dropped, I soft pedaled in no mans land till a group two formed. Same thing happened in group two (lol). Soft pedaled the final few minutes.
Still, good workout! It was basically a sweet spot workout with two Z6 2' climbs. Next time I'll respect these "Zwift Games" events a little more! More warmup and be ready to dig real deep on any climbs.
KOM circled. Letting the AP and HR drop back down.
I saw a Joaquim Rodriguez (HISP) in group 1 - think it was the real deal?

How does it get so late in the day so quickly? No wonder I can’t keep up.

I am still on the town bike almost daily though. The mojo thing seems to be related to kitting up and such.

In the eight years we’ve lived here, we’ve received perhaps a dozen pieces of mail, all of it domestic. Bank statements and the like. I’ve been collecting ssi for 10 years, and it was all done electronically until last year. In Jan or Feb I found an envelope stuck in between the garage doors. Ssi, checking to see if I still live here. I have since found out they send out a notice in June, and again in October. Just this morning I noticed that I didn’t get paid in Feb. I have spent the morning downloading and filling out the form, searching for envelopes of the correct size. My wife insisting on typing the letter of explanation, my asking her to fold it and show me how to correctly insert it. Monday I will go into Merida and send it, registered mail. 3-4 weeks later I will lose track of it as it crosses the border. And a week or so later I will get paid again. This time, though, I have set myself a tickler, so I can complete the rigamarole in August, stress free. And with that we now know how it got so late so quickly.
Edit: I just checked to see if Monday is a bank holiday. It is, and so I will go in Tuesday. I am thankful that I have finally learned to check first.

How can a postal system exist in a place where there's no marketing mail being sent out?

Ah man is it really cojones? I have been typing cajones all this time.... I have brought shame to my family.
How good is your Spanish seeds? Mine is functional but very poor, especially my vocabulary.... Soy Pocho. In case you're wondering, Pocho is slang for a whitewashed/Americanized Mexican who is out of touch with the language and the culture.

Playing with a different group of guys that my guitar player introduced me to tonight - not the normal jazz group. These guys are more rock and blues "jammers" if you will. The bass player and drummer are freakin' sick and hold it down so well.... its quite liberating for me. I will be using a lot of electric piano setting tonight. They want me to learn this one, cute little Dead track. The changes are marked by abrupt Bm and A turnaround chords that will be fun to use to separate solos or melodic sections
Fun fact- they're all senior psychotherapists . My guitar player is a social worker who is licensed to practice as well.

Ya it does make a huge diff. when I see power numbers from some bigger riders my eyes bulge. I'm 65.8 kg, 145 lbs. For me FTP is in the mid 280's somewhere - but that's on baby daddy hours with the little one at home and my time off from hernia surgery. A year ago at this time it was around 300w. I won't be seeing those numbers for a while... (ever???) but I'm learning that 4.3++ is still plenty to be competitive in my fields, Z or IRL cat 2 and 35+

BTW, I noticed the other day that Zwift has opened up the avatar options, so I could portray myself as pretty much anything. I thought of choosing the ectomorphic guy, but then people would wonder why I was getting dropped on hills. I also thought of choosing the larger female shape and seeing whether I notice a difference in how male riders respond - do guys burn matches to pass the woman, only to burn out a little down the road? Or maybe hang out behind me, scoping out my virtual ass?

It's about time the weekend got here!
Pretty much perfect day here in FLG. Chillin on the loading dock watching the clouds fly past the mountains and the trains fly past by the station.
After this late coffee I gotta ride over to pay rent, maybe I'll check out the trails after that.
